Schoolwala Technologies Private Limited ("Schoolwala", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Schoolwala ERP system, mobile apps, and administrative platforms. We are committed to protecting the privacy of educational institutions, administrators, staff members, parents, and students.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, safeguard, isolate, and securely process personal and institutional records through our services. By using our platform, you agree to these data processing systems.

1. Information We Collect

We collect administrative data, student enrolment profile details, attendance timestamps (including secure geolocation limits and check-ins), online test scores, academic results, and financial transaction metadata processed through our direct payment partners (like Razorpay). We do not store credit card credentials.

2. How We Use Information

Your institutional data is processed solely to operate the school management dashboard. This includes automated fee reminders, Razorpay payment routing, attendance verification, staff salary logs, report card creation, and student app push notifications.

3. Data Sharing & Sub-Processors

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Data is shared only with core sub-processors necessary to run the service: Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting databases and Razorpay for direct merchant settlements. All settlements flow directly into the institutional account.

4. Security & Data Isolation

Every school instance runs on a fully isolated multi-tenant architecture with separate databases. We execute secure backups every 24 hours across multiple geographic regions, encrypted with AES-256 both in transit and at rest.

5. Data Retention

You own your data. Educational records are kept as long as the school or student account holds an active subscription or enrolment.

6. User Account & Data Deletion Request

In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, users (students, parents, and staff) have full right to request the complete deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time.

  • In-App Deletion: Open the Schoolwala Mobile App, navigate to Profile > Settings, and tap "Delete Account". Account deletion takes effect immediately.
  • Web & Email Deletion Request: If you cannot access the app, send an email to support@schoolwalapro.com or privacy@schoolwalapro.com with the subject "Account Data Deletion Request", specifying your registered email or Student ID.
  • Data Purged: Upon request, all personal information (name, email, phone number, login credentials, avatar), student enrolment profiles, and online test attempt history will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
  • Retention Exclusions: Financial transaction receipts and fee invoice logs are retained only as required by statutory financial and tax reporting laws.
